EMC Advances Enterprise Interoperability and Infrastructure Capabilities for the Microsoft Platform
EMC Joins Interop Vendor Alliance, Delivers New Solutions, Services and Application Support
HOPKINTON, Mass. - Monday, March 5, 2007

EMC Corporation, the world leader in information infrastructure solutions, today announced new Microsoft SQL Server 2005 solutions and services, and enhanced Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 support to accelerate business value for enterprise customers using the Microsoft platform. EMC also announced its participation in the Interop Vendor Alliance, a community of software and hardware vendors working together to enhance interoperability with Microsoft systems.

The new EMC solutions and custom services tie together EMC's deep solution testing integration work with the advanced Microsoft expertise delivered by EMC Global Services. There is growing customer demand to deploy Microsoft SQL Server 2005 for mission critical computing. Highly Available and Secure Messaging Solution for Microsoft Exchange

EMC has released a new custom solution to secure and protect e-mail by managing e-mail application security and document-level information rights, while also ensuring the right level of data protection for the underlying network and storage infrastructure. This solution addresses the key customer initiatives of providing a reliable and secure messaging infrastructure based on Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 that can meet mission-critical service level requirements and scale to meet ever-growing enterprise needs. It is based on a combination of EMC's data protection and recovery technology, RSA SecurID capabilities, and the award winning delivery expertise of EMC Global Services.

Increased support for Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 and VSS

EMC continues providing robust support for our industry leading data protection capabilities with the latest Microsoft applications and data protection features by announcing the availability of:
  • Exchange Server 2007 support for EMC Replication Manager 5.0 SP1·
  • Exchange Server 2007 support for EMC NetWorker Module for Exchange.·
  • Microsoft Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) support within EMC NetWorker VSS Client for Microsoft Windows Server 2003.

EMC Joins Interop Vendor Alliance

EMC joined the Interop Vendor Alliance, a global, cross-industry group of software and hardware vendors that work together to answer customer demand for enhanced multi-vendor interoperability with Microsoft systems. This expansion of EMC's industry leading interoperability efforts will allow customers to confidently deploy leading EMC hardware, software and integrated solutions for the Microsoft platform.
